Youth Meeting Report

by Struthers Cumbernauld

Our numbers were up at 45 for our Friday night youth club, despite the holiday weekend. A fantastic night, with the theme 'taste and see that the Lord is good'. Children had lots of fun sampling unusual flavours of crisps (such as spaghetti bolognaise flavour) and trying out some sweets new to the market. This was linked to the difference between imagining a taste and actually tasting something for yourself. A fun, lively atmosphere and a real sense of God's love for these children was with us! Fun crafts with pipe cleaners, games and a chance to learn new music skills followed and a great time was had by all!

In our student zone our Bible study on Mark continued. We discussed stories of physical healings and related these to personal experiences.  This was followed with fun games, including shaving foam pictionary and alphabet spaghetti word building. Young people got stuck into these team building games and had a great time. It was then time to relax and catch up with friends with pizza. A very busy, productive night where young people were able to relax and have fun in the safety of God's presence. Thank you for praying and please continue to keep this work in your prayers.

Our students worked in teams to make words from these alphabet pasta shapes.  Extra points were given for originality!

It took a lot of thought for team members to guess the objects made out of shaving foam.
