Outreach meetings Update

by Struthers Cumbernauld

We had two good meetings on Wednesday night in Coatbridge and Airdrie this week.

We gathered in Airdrie in our new hall for the first time. Rae took a time of singing, followed by an up to date testimony from Darrin who spoke of losing his way spiritually, backsliding and then returning to God. He spoke of the fact he had always loved Christ and how that had held him through a number of difficult years. A word was then brought from Matt 22:10 in connection with the Airdrie work. Folks were very encouraged. It was a good night.

A good number gathered at the Coatbridge meeting. There were two new faces although these men have both been to our Sunday services. Pete took some singing followed by Pauline who gave her testimony to salvation and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. It was good to hear, with Pauline's sense of humour, how God drew a 13 year old girl to Himself and His keeping of her for over 30 years. Carol preached from Acts Ch 1 where Christ tells his disciples to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit that His Father had promised. A very uplifting word to remind us that The Holy Spirit has been given not only to strengthen and comfort us, but to reveal the things of Christ to our hearts. She also brought a word from Job Ch 23 'He knows the way that you take'. Two lives asked for prayer and one man received his baptism in the Holy Spirit. He was very happy and left with a great big smile. A wonderful time of fellowship in His presence.
