Friday night youth work

by Struthers Cumbernauld

We had a very busy night at our youth club tonight with 51 children coming along! Many were new to our youth club and many returned for the second time after last week's fun night. We had a lively time of action choruses to begin with before a short children's address. The theme was the gift of God being Jesus, illustrated using gifts which were given out, with some people opening and accepting and others saying no. The point was made that it is our choice to accept God's gift of Love, or to say no. We then went on to our activities, including rounders, parachute games and arts and crafts. A fun time was had by all.

We began our student zone making the most of the lovely evening playing frisbee games outside. We then came together to watch a DVD of Louie Giglio speaking on the sounds of the universe and the stars and creatures of the sea bringing praise to God. He went on to speak of the importance of lifting our hands to God in times of joy and in times of need. It was a good evening. Please continue to keep this work in your prayers
