The summer officially started for our older young people with our annual trip to St.Andrews on Friday. A group of us set off in the morning for a fun filled day! The weather was looking ropey, but the sun came out for us, and we even ended up with a few sun kissed faces by the end of the day! We had lots of activities on the beach including rounders, volleyball and touch rugby. We braved the cold water to varying degrees, some settling for a paddle, some heading straight in despite the temperature!
Later on we enjoyed a well earned meal from the chippy together in the evening sunshine. We then found the perfect spot for our bonfire, which the boys set to work on and had going in no time!
The day was full of fun and much laughter. Adults and children alike had a fantastic day and all were exhausted by the end! Many parents will have been able to enjoy a long lie this morning as a result!
