Sunday youth work update

by Struthers Cumbernauld

Today our theme on Sunday school was that we are all different and all special to God. Children made certificates with some personal details about themselves, such as their height and finger prints. They thought about the ways they are all unique and how God knows every tiny detail. Afterwards they had their snack and some games to finish their morning.

In Bible class we began to look at the book of James. We discussed the first part of the initial chapter and talked about some of the practical ways we can avoid being double minded in our walk with God. We also discussed the fact that God loves to help us when we are trying to do the right thing and will never tire of helping us. We also discussed the coming camp in August, and young people shared some of their hopes and aims for that week. We closed with a short time of prayer with some very genuine and earnest prayers from the young folk. We then went on to sample some popping candy and jelly bean chocolate, which met the seal of approval from all the young people!
