Sunday youth work update

by Struthers Cumbernauld

This morning our Sunday school were learning about the 12 special friends of Jesus The children learned their names and talked about what it means to be a fisher of men. They coloured pictures, made bookmarks and played games relating to the story.

In Bible class we continued our study of the book of James. We particularly focused on the verse; 'Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.' (James 1:17 NLT)
We discussed the fact that people can change and let us down but we can be confident that God will never change and we can rely on Him totally.
We went on to talk about our coming camp next week. Young people thought about their hopes and goals for camp which they wrote down. Following this we had a short time of prayer together.
We finished the morning with a walk in the sunshine, stopping off for some ice-lollies along the way.
