We had just under 60 kids at our Friday club. It was a busy night with lots of action singing and more grown up choruses. The theme tonight was being like clay in the potters hand. This was illustrated by children modelling play dough into various objects whilst others had to guess what they had made. We then talked about being like clay and letting God change us and make us into what we are meant to be. Following this, children went onto their activities including football, indoor games, arts and crafts and a quiz. A fun night was had by all.
In our student zone we had another new person tonight, which gave us eleven high school age children in total. We began with lots of active team games led by David. Following this we had a short meeting with some singing before Scott spoke on '“But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”' (Matt 16: 15-16)
He talked about the difference between knowing of a person and actually knowing someone and the importance of not just having a head knowledge of who God is. There was a lovely atmosphere as we closed.
