We had a very good meeting in Motherwell this week. Although some of our regulars were on holiday, it was nice to see some of our newer contacts. Barbara led a good time of singing which was followed by a clear testimony from Laura to Salvation and Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Mark then brought the word from Philippians 4:19
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
He broke this down speaking of relying on God for natural needs, the freedom we can find from fear and the place of being utterly satisfied in Christ alone. It was a lovely word. We then had a time of prayer and worship which was very full of life.
We had a good wee night. Carol took some singing, which finished with us all laughing at a tricky song! It was good though with a really relaxed atmosphere. She then asked more folk for up to date reports. There were 6 altogether. They were all nice and short and quite encouraging. Carol spoke on Psalm 84, and her main theme was "home". She spoke about making the Cumbernauld church our home and putting down roots in God. It was a very positive word. This was followed by a lovely prayer time at the end.
