Coatbridge House Group
Our group met in Carol's house this week.
We started with reports of the week. One of our new folks chatted about how God had helped him forgive others. He was really encouraged at how God brought circumstances into his life after he had prayed about a specific situation. It was greatly encouraging hearing from him. Others shared too before, Carol spoke on two themes: 'It is The Lord. Let him do what seems good' and 'Follow Gods example'. We had a prayer time at the end together in which there came a beautiful sense of the presence of God.
Our small hall was fairly full on Wednesday night.
Mark started the evening with some singing which was very good.
We had two speakers. The first, Caroline shared verses from proverbs:
'Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.' She spoke well and used illustrations from missionary work she had been involved in. Diana then followed with verses from Luke 10 about the 70 being sent out by Christ. The two themes related well together. We closed with a time of prayer and seeking the fire of God to send us out to do His will.
There is coming in all our meetings a growing sense of the life and stirrings of God within our hearts.
