We had a very good house meeting on Wednesday night. Our evening began by sharing reports of our week. Folks are obviously beginning to feel relaxed enough to share honest and open reports and as usual they were very encouraging.
Jim brought a verse and was looking for guidance on what it meant but he had his own interpretation on it which was excellent!
Following this, Carol preached from Proverbs 29: 18 'Where there is no vision, the people perish' and John 14: 28 'My Father is greater than I'. She also read some thoughts from a book on revival about what robs us of the Life of God.
We then had a time of prayer and a few songs at the end and a beautiful quiet sense of His presence came amongst us. It was another good night.
We were delighted to have 7 locals at our meeting.
Our evening began with a good time of singing led by Mark and Leah.
Alastair then spoke from Psalm 23. He spoke well and brought a gentle, encouraging word.
Following this, Mark led a time of worship as we turned our minds to focus on Him. We were richly rewarded with a lovely hushed sense of the deep presence of God as we closed.
Again, we enjoyed a time of fellowship together over a bounteous spread at the end of the evening.
We had a good meeting on Thursday night in our community hall. John began the night by leading some singing. His theme was Jesus saves! A good beginning.
Rae then spoke from John 17:2 'Thou hast given Him power over all flesh that He should give eternal life.' She spoke about the fact that He is mighty to save. This was followed by a very good prayer and worship time with singing in the Spirit. There was a deep, warm presence of Christ with us.
We finished our evening with a cup of tea, cake and chat.
