We opened in prayer before Carol gave testimony to salvation and baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Graham preached on a number of bible verses about Christ dying once and for all for our sin and how we can find a supernatural rest in abiding in Christ that is deeper than any rest this world can provide. In the words of Christ "I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart". John 14:26 Graham reminded us of the importance of being obedient to Christ.
We closed in prayer and a lovely presence of God fell upon us all.
At our meeting this week someone, who used to come along a while back, joined us. He has come a long way on his journey in life and is seeking to find more of God.
John led some singing before Mags then gave an excellent testimony to how God turned her life around when she asked him to be her Saviour. Rae brought verses from Isaiah on the promise of salvation and from Jeremiah on how we will find him when we seek him with all our heart. A lovely worship time followed.
We then had some tea and biscuits. Our friend enjoyed some chat and is hoping to join us again. We praise God for His faithfulness to us.
This week we had a smaller but lovely meeting.
Diana began the evening with some singing before speaking from John 16:13-14 about the Spirit of Truth. She spoke of how people love the truth because it draws them closer to God but hate it because it reveals sin in the inner parts of our hearts. We had a very good worship time afterwards with some folks leading in prayer whilst others received ministry.
We too were grateful to God for His continuing blessing on us.
