We opened with prayer and a time of sharing. It was encouraging to hear of the faithfulness of God in this past week.
Carol spoke on resting in the silence of God that rejuvenates our spiritual life.
We must spend time breathing in of His presence and simply allowing his supernatural work to take place.
When our thoughts are directed to the God within us it allows us to stand strong against the trials that life throws at us.
We closed in prayer before a short time of fellowship together.
We had a fruitful meeting on Wednesday night.
First of all Mark and Leah led some singing before Mitch came and gave a wonderful testimony to salvation and receiving his baptism in the Holy Spirit in his bed during the night! Following this, Pauline brought the Bible study from the third case of the baptism in the Holy Spirit in the Bible from Acts 9. She also recapped as some of our ladies had missed the previous two cases from Acts 2 and 8. Finally we closed with a lovely worship time. There was a real sense of Pentecostal power amongst us and one of our local ladies broke through certain personal barriers and was wonderfully speaking in tongues.
We went home tired but very happy.
A very good meeting tonight at Airdrie.
John led some singing before Rae spoke from Psalm 18:6,19.
'I cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of His temple. The Lord kept me. He brought me to a large place because he delighted in me. I will bless the Lord at all times.'
We then turned to worship and praise and there followed some ministry. God's presence came with a touch of healing for one whilst another received much needed comfort. An interpretation was given following a message in tongues that 'We should open the door and trust in Him for all our needs.'
We then had our usual supper. God is so faithful to our group and we have every reason to exalt his name together.
