Coatbridge and Motherwell outreach

Coatbridge outreach

We had another good meeting this week. It began with a few people sharing the challenges that they had faced in this past week and how they had leant on God for support.

Graham gave an excellent testimony to salvation and baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Carol preached on the book of Ruth 1:16 and 2:8 about when life's trials come our way, do we run away and hide or do we endure and cleave to God.  From these readings we learned how Ruth's faithfulness and obedience in the face of adversity, received protection and how God fully provided for her. Ruth is an ancestor of Christ, King David's great grandmother and we heard how important it was to feed from Christ to be strengthened for our journeys ahead. The question was posed to us - do we run away from life's trials or do we, like Ruth, follow on with a determination to do His will.

We closed with a  very rich time of prayer and the peace of God settled over us.

Motherwell outreach

We had a good meeting in Newmains this week. There were three visitors with us. Tiffies and Leah led some singing together before Vicky gave a very good testimony to salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit and deliverance. Pauline then spoke from Jeremiah about the plans that God has for each one of us. She spoke about how the plan of God doesn't stop when we reach a certain age or wait until we reach a certain age before it begins, also that God has a next step for each one of us. It was a very encouraging word. We closed with a time of prayer and worship and there came a lovely presence of God with us.
