Friday youthwork

by Struthers Cumbernauld

We had around 25 children tonight. Tiffies began with some singing and taught the children lots of songs that we haven't had in years. They loved them! Leah showed the children a Bible and shared a few interesting facts about it. She then split us into groups to find our own facts about the Bible. The feedback was interesting and the children got very involved in the task. She encouraged us to remember to read the Bible and set the challenge of reading one Bible story to share at next Friday club. We then had arts and crafts, challenges and games.

In our student zone Heather started us off with some games. Zander then split us into pairs and encouraged us to draw each other. This caused quite a lot of laughter

with many of us being surprised at how we had been portrayed in our partner's drawings. At the end he shared the verse “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” Isaiah‬ ‭55:8‬. He talked about how often the way we view ourselves is not how God views us, and the importance of changing our perception to be more able to see things the way God sees them. We then closed in prayer.
