Due to illness and some folks being away we were smaller in number this week at Airdrie. After John led us in some singing we shared reports of where we feel we are in our Christian journey. Some people rejoiced at being on the mountain top whilst others spoke of being in the valley. His word to us from Ephesians encouraged us that no matter how long we've been following Him, no matter how good or bad we feel, He is still interested in us. His love continues to bring us from the old life into new life in Christ. As we turned to worship there came an outstanding presence of God with singing in the Spirit and a beautiful prophetic word at the end.
We enjoyed singing some old hymns and songs to start off our meeting this Wednesday. There was a gentle sense of deep worship as we sang. In our time of up to date reports it was encouraging to hear that the visitors who attended our outreach last week were very affected by the meeting. Some of them are hoping to be out with us this weekend. Pauline continued our Bible study on the life of David, focussing on the time when David was 'on the run' from Saul. We discussed how David was faithful to God even in this time of uncertainty and trial, and how God was his refuge in the difficult decisions he had to make. We closed with a time of prayer and ministry.
