Thought for the week by pastor Diana Rutherford

'What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? ' Hebrews 2:6

Beautiful words spoken about Christ. There are two lines of thought here.
The first is that He remembers us; we are in His thoughts; His mind is full of thoughts towards us. What a lovely thought! Again and again we have to rebuke ourselves because we forget in the midst of our busy lives to be mindful of Him! But He is never too busy to be mindful of us. Even though we are nothing more than a blade of grass.
"As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth" Psm 103:15
What a thought He cares for each one, each blade; His mind is full of good thoughts towards us. How nice to be so cared for.
The second thought here - the visitation of God to us. There are times when Almighty God visits us with His presence. We cannot make Him come, no matter how hard we try, but we can live prepared in case He should choose to come. He is visiting me right now! I feel an overflowing abundance of the presence of God. His peace, mercy, grace are filling my mind and spirit. All we need do is:
"Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land." Psm 37:34
Blessed be the Lord for His goodness!
