Thought for the week by pastor Diana Rutherford

'Do not worry about your life ... Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life.'

Luke 12:22

Here is another profound saying from Christ!
If we really put this into practice our lives would be stress free! If we simply did our best with the hours that God gave us and left the rest to Him we would be happier people. Every time you feel uptight or worried about something think of those words 'Do not worry'. It is a command. He didn't say 'Try not to worry'. It is the way He expects us to live. Make a habit of 'Casting all your care upon Him.' It is our duty not our choice! He is big enough and well able to look after all our problems. If we do this consistently we will not only live an easier life we will have a happier one and who knows we may even live longer!
We certainly will feel at peace and be able to keep our eyes more firmly fixed on Jesus as a result. So let us endeavour to put this principle into practice and be known by others as those who are happy, carefree and who follow the Lord whole heartedly.
