Sunday Evening Nativity

by Struthers Cumbernauld

We had the second round of our nativity play last night. The church felt quite full with about 160 folks out at our service.

We began with some carol singing and then the nativity. There came a lovely atmosphere during the nativity. After the children went out Diana brought a short word from the Christmas story. The parents were very warm and many stayed for free coffee, cake and a chat afterwards in our coffee shop. One of our church members had very kindly offered to pay for all food and drink purchased on the evening. It was a great night and wonderful to see our church full with so many visitors.

A big thank you to all our young folk for all their hard work over recent months. It just shows what can be done when people pull together and work for the extension of His kingdom.

At the end of the evening one lady came for prayer. She wanted to make a fresh start with God again after drifting away from Him a number of years ago. We rejoice as yet another life returns safely into the fold!
