Sunday evening nativity and gospel service

by Struthers Cumbernauld

We had the second performance of our nativity play tonight as part of our Sunday evening service. We had 25 children all in and 150 people in our church. We began with a lovely time of carol singing before the nativity. The children did really well and, as usual, we had some classic funny moments. One of these involved one of our youth leaders crawling along the floor to give the gifts to the wise men who had forgotten their gifts after beginning their journey to Bethlehem! Afterwards Diana spoke on the purpose of Christ's coming. He was born to die. There came a lovely quietness over the company. The coffee shop was open both before and after the service and was very busy on both occasions. There was a very warm response from visitors at the end of the evening.
