Supper Evening report

by Struthers Cumbernauld

Our usual mid-week Wednesday outreach meetings were off this week. Instead, we had a supper evening outreach in Cumbernauld.
About 70 people gathered including 15 visitors. We began with supper in our coffee shop. There was a great selection of sweet and savoury foods for all to enjoy, followed by tea and coffee. This allowed time for folks to chat and get to know new folks. We followed this with a short service in the church. The singing sounded fabulous! Mags shared a full testimony to salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit and deliverance from fear. Diana then spoke on the verse 'Come unto me all ye who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest' (Matt 11:28). She spoke of how we all try to cope in different ways, but there is power in Christ to carry all our burdens. She shared part of her own testimony and spoke of the challenge of accepting the message of the gospel. One lady came for prayer at the end of the night. It was a lovely evening with some very positive feedback from our visitors.
