Mid week outreach meetings

by Struthers Cumbernauld

We had an excellent meeting tonight in Carfin. We had a good number present. The evening started with a time of worship led by Karen and Andrew, and then a testimony from Leah. Leah shared how she had become a Christian and also shared how God had done a significant work in her heart in recent months in dealing with past hurts. Diana then brought a word from Romans 15v32 about how weariness can creep into our lives but God wants to bring refreshing into our soul. Towards the end of the meeting, a new person came for prayer and gave her life to Christ. We were very pleased with the night.

A good number of us gathered for our meeting in Coatbridge. We began with a time of worship led by Carol and Ailsa, followed by an excellent testimony to salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the faithfulness of God from Morag. Carol then brought a very encouraging word about dealing with anxiety. She spoke of how sometimes in small areas and sometimes in bigger matters, we can feel overwhelmed, but we have a strong refuge in our God. She spoke of bringing all anxiety to Him and finding the peace that passes all understanding. As we turned to prayer, she encouraged us to approach carefully and have a meaningful time with our Lord. It was a lovely, gentle time of worship. There was a real sense of the quiet refreshing that comes from being in His presence.
