Sunday youth work

by Struthers Cumbernauld

In our Sunday school this week the children learned the story of Palm Sunday. They heard of Jesus riding on the donkey as the crowds shouted 'Hosanna to the son of David!' They went on to discuss this as the start of the journey towards Easter and what that means for us as Christians. For their craft the children made birds nests filled with little chocolate eggs and completed some colouring sheets and word searches relating to their story.
In Bible class the children had a discussion about our Friday night youth work giving their feedback and thoughts. They went on to discuss the Easter story and the importance of taking time to think on the Cross and all that it means for us. They spent the second part of the morning helping our Sunday school with their craft, snacks and games.
