Friday youth work

by Struthers Cumbernauld

Another busy night at our last Friday club before our Easter break.
We had lots of lively singing to start with. The children then watched a drama sketch which showed a criminal in court having the price paid for their wrong. Zander followed this by relating the sketch to the gospel and the price Jesus has paid for us. Children listened really well. They then went off to their stations including Easter crafts, football, parachute games and a scavenger hunt.

In our high school meeting we began with lots of games organised by David. We then moved onto our meeting part and Andrew took some singing before Zander spoke. He used the illustration of a £20 note which he related to our lives. He talked about sin bringing a crease in the note each time until it looks like something worthless, but how Jesus comes to change us and make us something of value. We finished with a short time of prayer and singing.
