Friday youth work

by Struthers Cumbernauld

We began our Friday club tonight with a very lively time of singing. It was great to see some children we have not had with us for a while. We looked at the story of Joseph by watching a short DVD clip. We encouraged the children to think about how Joseph must have felt when he was in prison. We related this to the fact that even when things seem to go wrong it is always safe to trust Jesus. We then went on to our stations: football, basketball, parachute games and loom bands.

In our high school meeting we began the session with a game of rounders which was great fun. We then had our meeting part with a short time of singing before a very good testimony from Melissa. Tiffies then spoke around the theme of being in the right place at the right time using the story of the man Jesus healed after he had been unable to walk for 38 years. We had around 12 young people with us.
