In Motherwell this week we began with a time of singing led by Mark. We were fewer in number, however it was a wonderful time of song which felt very alive. Alastair then spoke from Psalm 84 about the various joys and trials we often face in our Christian journey. He spoke of the importance of our reactions in the valley of trouble and the spiritual growth that can be achieved during these times. He also spoke of the care and provision that there is in God at all points of our journey. It was a very encouraging word. We closed with a short time of prayer where folks brought prayers of thankfulness to God
We had a good time of fellowship together on Wednesday. Ailsa led some songs first before folks shared some up to date reports on their week. It was nice to be part of a small group and share together. After this Carol brought a short word and we finally closed with a time of prayer. It's good to see those who have recently joined us being so much part of things with us.
Our meeting is now taking place on a Thursday night in our usual hall in Airdrie.
We had a good night this week with two visitors joining us. John took some singing at the beginning of the night before Willie shared an excellent testimony. He got saved at a Billy Graham campaign and was set free from alcohol in a moment of time! Rae then spoke from Corinthians 12 and 13 on Love. We had a short prayer to finish before a lovely spread of tea and cakes.
