Mid week outreach meetings

by Struthers Cumbernauld

Mark took our Motherwell meeting this week. We began with a time of singing which was very good before he spoke from Kings about Elijah and the rains that came suddenly following a small cloud in the sky. He encouraged us to think of revival, and to look for opportunities to share Christ with others. We finished with a time of waiting on God. A word of prophecy was given encouraging us to cast our burdens on the Lord and allow Him to take that which we cannot carry.

Coatbridge House Group

This week in Jim and Mimas, Carol took some singing before Graham spoke about revival and the moving of God in Coatbridge in the past. He made reference to the book Glory in the Glen by Tom Lennie. During a short prayer time at the end, a man who was there for just the second time, became a Christian. Following this we shared a happy time of fellowship over a cup of tea.

Airdrie Outreach

We had some visitors at our meeting this week. Rae began the evening with a time of song and followed this with her own testimony. John then spoke from scattered verses about spritual functions of the body; bringing out the theme if we are cut off from Christ we shrivel up and die. We closed by singing the beautiful hymn This is the Mystery. We also shared some good fellowship over a cup of tea.
