Coatbridge, Motherwell and Airdrie Outreach Meetings

by Struthers Cumbernauld

Coatbridge Outreach

We had a great meeting to start 2015.
Two visitors came to the house group who  volunteered to come, they weren't even asked!
Carol started by sharing the verses from the New Year Word 2015. We then had reports which as usual were very encouraging. Carol then spoke from the verses Proverbs 25:28 'He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down and without walls'. She spoke of the fact that it is our responsibility to develop an excellent spirit like Daniel and a free spirit like David.  We then had an excellent worship time. Three of our folks asked for prayer at the end of the evening, two of these being our visitors. It was a great night in God's presence.

Motherwell Outreach

The hall was almost full on our first Newmains meeting of 2015!  We started with a lively time of singing including song requests from teens.

Mark then preached from from Psalm 16 vs 8-11 focussing on the verse ‘I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand I shall not be shaken’.  It was a lovely word of encouragement to start the year off by ‘setting the Lord' always before us. There was a great sense of the triumph of Christ as we considered the verses 10-11 speaking of how Christ was not abandoned to the grave but overcame sin and death by enduring the Cross and setting His Father always before Him.

The young people finished the meeting by leading a time of singing and worship; we felt very blessed as God deepened His presence among us during this time.

We enjoyed the time of fellowship with our Newmains contacts over a lovely spread at the end of the meeting and we are looking forward to all that God has in store for us in 2015!

Airdrie Outreach

We had an excellent meeting this week. John took singing at the start and gave a report on last year and spoke of his hopes for the coming year.

Rae then spoke from  Ezek 16:14 and Psalm 90:17 about the helpless and hopeless condition of Jerusalem and how the Lord intervened  enabling her to thrive into maturity and beauty. She also encouraged us to seek until we behold the beauty of our Lord  that we might grow into His stature. We had a very good worship time seeking Him together whilst some received ministry. A good start to the new year.
