Coatbridge outreach

by Struthers Cumbernauld

Due to the October break, a smaller number gathered tonight at our Coatbridge meeting but it was lovely to have John's son James with us again.

We began with our usual time of sharing weekly reports. Several folks shared that they'd found God's peace, despite difficulties which was encouraging for us all to hear.

We then turned to the word, and Carol read from Revelation ch3 v8

"Behold, I have set before you an open door"

She spoke about Christ being the holy sacrifice who has opened the way ahead of us. We are dependant on His righteousness and His truth to open that door and believe that no man can shut it. It may be a door of blessing or of service for God, but whatever that door leads to, it will lead deeper into God and His freedom.

She finished by reading Psalm 24 v79.

"Lift up your heads o ye gates and be lifted up ye everlasting doors that the King of Glory may enter in."

We turned to prayer and a rich presence of God came down as we worshipped.

The evening ended with some supper and fellowship. It was good to be in His presence, we look forward to next week.
