Coatbridge, Motherwell and Airdrie outreach meetings.

by Struthers Cumbernauld

We opened with prayer. A number of folks shared updates from the past few weeks and quite a few referred to turning to prayer more than normal and this tied in with the word that Graham had for the meeting.

Graham spoke on Eph 6:10-20 about the armour of God and how Paul emphasised the importance of protection for our spiritual life by putting on all the armour provided by God. Graham also referred to a book by Jim Cymbala called Breakthrough Prayer.

We closed with a lovely breakthrough in prayer and finishing with a quiet time, where there was a real sense of His covering in the room.  We had a short time of fellowship together over a cup of tea at the end.

We had a good number of locals who seemed to really enjoy our meeting on Wednesday night.

The singing led by Mark and Leah was great. Pauline followed by speaking on Joshua crossing the Jordan. She spoke of how God has worked in our lives in stopping the water from over flowing us and encouraged us to remember how He's shaping us into His likeness.

We finished with a short time of prayer.

We had a good number out on Thursday at our meeting.

We began with some singing led by John.

Rae brought verses from Ezekiel 44:1-7 about the procedures for using the Temple's entrances and exits. The psalmist cried "Open for me the gates where the righteous enter and I will go in and thank the Lord. The gates lead to the presence of the Lord and the godly enter there." (Ps 118:19,20).  Jesus is the door and we can enter through Him into the Holy of Holies. There followed a very good worship time with some ministry to encourage folks to enter into the Holy Spirit.

To finish we had a wee happy birthday song for one of our ladies with some tea and biscuits.
