We had a good meeting, starting with updates from everyone - a good variety of examples how God had touched many of the lives during this past week.
Diana spoke on John 3:3 and emphasised how important it is for us to be born of the Spirit and emphasised that we need to always be open to the moving of the Spirit in our lives. Diana referred to a later verse "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."
We closed with a time of prayer and relaxing into His presence.
We had a wonderful meeting on Wednesday night.
Our evening began with a time of worship led by Mark and Leah before Alastair spoke powerfully from Psalm 34 'They looked unto Him and were made radiant.' He linked it in to the part when Moses came down the mountain, his face radiant, after being in the presence of God. He encouraged us to seek to know the glory of God. There was a short time of worship at the end before we enjoyed fellowship together over some supper. We were very pleased to see many of our local contacts out again with us.
We had a good number at our supper night.
After welcoming everyone we began with a short time of song led by John. We then watched a dvd about a man called Louis Zamperini who was left for dead on a raft in the Pacific Ocean for 47 days! He was then tortured till the end of the war. He struggled wth drink and nightmares thereafter until he was saved at a Billy Graham Campaign in 1949. It was a very moving story. Rae concluded the meeting part by speaking from Rom 8:28 'All things work together for good to those who love God.'
Following this, we enjoyed a lovely supper together. It was a good night.
