Merthyr Outreach

by Struthers Cumbernauld

Diana and Graham joined our Welsh church this weekend for a Saturday morning outreach in the town of Merthyr Tydfil. We were delighted to welcome around 30 visitors.
Gareth welcomed everyone and explained that this was the third of a series of outreach meetings and that God had been blessing in a particular way during this time. He opened the meeting in prayer before handing over to Helen to lead some songs of worship.
Gaynor then gave a full testimony to how she found Christ after many years of hurt, divorce, fear and alcoholism. She spoke of a phobia of public speaking and of a mighty deliverance she had had from fear. It was very encouraging. Following this, Diana preached from Isaiah 54:3-4. There was a real sense of vision and drive about the purposes of God in Merthyr. She opened it for folks to come forward for prayer and about 15 responded. There were 3 who gave their hearts to Christ and others who came to find help and strengthening for their walk with God. Lloyd led a beautiful time of worship as folks received ministry. We are delighted with what God is doing amongst these folks and look forward to greater things. The next meeting is planned for Saturday 11th July at 11am.
