Midweek outreach meetings

by Struthers Cumbernauld

John took the singing at the beginning of the meeting before  Rae spoke from Revelation 1:10-19 on 'The vision of the Son of man". It was good to have some people, who haven't been with us for a while, back amongst us. We had a lovely rich worship time in song and ended with our usual fellowship over a wee cup of tea and cake.

Mark took the singing at the beginning which was very good.

We then had up to date reports from Donna, Emily and Mark.

Following this, Pauline gave an overview of the life of David and his ups and downs. A lot of folks contributed to the discussion.

We closed with a nice prayer time.

We were glad to be back together again after a fairly long break.

There were 10 of us who gathered in the home of one of our folks. We began with reports from everyone on their year or something more up to date they wanted to share. This was very good and encouraging for all. The reports were honest and frank; some having had a hard year suffering ill health or bereavement whilst others had experienced more of the blessing of God.

Diana then brought a short word. She spoke round the theme of the New Year Word. This led to a discussion and Graham shared part of his testimony at length. It was all very relaxed and informal and it was nice to see everyone contributing with questions or comments. We closed with a short prayer time which was filled with His quiet presence. At the end we had a lovely supper. It was great to be together in fellowship again. These meetings are going to be held on a monthly basis.
