Our meeting started with a number of people sharing some of the challenges they were facing, before Graham preached on the subject of hardship and attitude.
Graham based his preaching on the bible character of Caleb and through his faithfulness to God even although he experienced hardship, he received an inheritance in the Promised Land in his old age. It also teaches us that we are to stand for God even when others will not. When we do, God may choose to bless us in ways that will extend for generations to come.
We closed with a time of prayer and fellowship.
We began our evening with a time of song led by Mark and Leah. It was great.
This was followed by up to date reports from Nan, Barbara and Mitch. The Bible Study which was led by Pauline went well with good contributions from folks. We were speaking about staying in the right place where God can use us and the difference that made in Saul and David's life. We closed with a time of singing and prayer whilst there was some personal ministry.
God's presence was with us from the outset at Airdrie this week as John led some singing. We then had a look at Danny McVicar's testimony and were encouraged by the fact that God did what seemed impossible and reached out to one who was so far away and saved him to the uttermost. We are reminded that God is still the same today and we too would see the impossible if we are bold, persistent in our faith and never give up on souls. We then had a short prayer time for the lost before having our usual wee cup of tea. Next week will be an outreach supper evening. All welcome!
