Mid week outreach updates

Motherwell outreach:

We had a good time of singing to begin our meeting in Newmains this week before Pauline recommenced our Bible study on the life of David. She spoke of how David sinned against God by numbering the people, thus relying on man rather than solely on God. We discussed how this is very much like the attitude of society today: a society which does not recognise its need for God but would rather be reliant on its own resources and strength, rather than return to and trust in God.

There was a gentle sense of peace at the end of our meeting tonight with some quiet worship songs. It was encouraging to hear how one, who has been having a difficult and stressful week at work, had felt this peace deep inside as we worshipped at the end.

John led some singing at Airdrie meeting this week. We then looked at the verse  Diana brought on Sunday evening from 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 - that we would use the weapon of prayer to knock down the strongholds and to destroy every obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We then had a very good time of prayer for the work in Airdrie.
