Midweek meetings

by Struthers Cumbernauld

This week we met for the first time in our new hall.

We were very encouraged by the numbers that joined us, both from the locality, and from our other groups in North Lanarkshire.

Mark and Leah began with a time of singing which was very rich. Following this, we had a testimony from Karen Sharkey to salvation and baptism in the Spirit. Pauline preached on

Proverbs 29:18 'When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.' (NLT)

We had a lovely time of worship and were delighted when two youngsters from the locality came forward at the end of the evening and gave their hearts to Christ. A good start!

We will be looking to have an official opening service later in the Autumn.

There was a good number again this week who gathered for the Airdrie meeting. God blessed us with a very practical word which was beneficial to us all. After John led some singing Rae spoke from Jeremiah 39:1-9 which teaches the dangers of allowing ourselves to be disheartened. This often can be the first steps which cause us to 'fall away'.  For every difficulty we face, for every manifold temptation there is manifold grace; grace to help in time of need. We found His presence very much with us as we worshipped Him. We then enjoyed a quick cup of tea together. God is so faithful to our group and is continuing to pour His blessing upon us. Praise His lovely name.
