Midweek meetings

by Struthers Cumbernauld

A good number of us gathered for another excellent house group this week with one new person seeking to find out more about the Christian faith.  We began with short up to date reports and

It was really encouraging to hear how folks are experiencing God in new ways and seeking Him more deeply in their lives.  Carol spoke about the door of salvation and how Jesus stands at the door and knocks and waits for us to invite Him into our lives.

““Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We had an informative and helpful discussion on the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the relevance of speaking in tongues. We finished with a short time of intercessory prayer and songs of worship. His Presence was very deeply with us.

We look forward to our Outreach Meeting next Wednesday31/1/18 where we are meeting in Coatbridge High School at 7.30 pm

A good number out tonight at our Airdrie meeting. John opened the meeting with some older hymns. He then spoke from Luke 11:40

"You foolish people, did not the one who made the outside, make the inside also."

The general theme was people who put a facade on the outside are not what they seem on the inside and what impresses Christians is not necessarily what impresses God. However, both groups are impressed with righteousness and genuiness. In other words you may be like a Pharisee on the outside but a spiritual wreck on the inside and if you are clean on the inside it follows that you also will be clean on the outside as well. Annette took the worship time at end when there was some ministry. It was a good night.
