Midweek meetings

by Struthers Cumbernauld

Excellent meeting at Airdrie this week. John led some singing before Rae spoke from John's gospel 21:15-22. No matter who or what is occupying our minds Christ would say the same thing to us as he said to Peter. "What is that got to do with you? As for you, follow me." Are we ready to hand everyone and everything that concerns us over to Him and simply follow Jesus? We then had a very good worship time which included some ministry. Once again God was very much in our midst. We just cant help but love Him!

We had two new folks at our Newmains meeting this week. One lady brought by a friend and the second in response to the newspaper advert.

We started with a time of worship led by Leah and Lauren before having two excellent testimonies from Barbara and John.

Pauline then spoke from 2 Corinthians 12:9 and John 4:1-6. Both of our visitors loved the meeting and hope to join us again at some point in the future.

In our Coatbridge house meeting this week, we were joined by a friend of one of our families. We began with up to date reports before Ailsa brought a word ‘I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back.’  She used the verse And Jesus said unto him, “No man, having put his hand to the plough and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.”

Luke 9:62.

We had a lovely prayer and worship time at the end. Our new friend gave his heart to Christ at the end of the evening and we were much encouraged.

Do pray on for this work that God will bless it more and more!
