Midweek meetings

by Struthers Cumbernauld

We had a good meeting in Newmains this week beginning with a time of singing. Pauline then spoke on the theme of giving your all to God and allowing the Holy Spirit to help and guide us. She spoke about how the Baptism in the Holy Spirit has had a profound effect in this regard for many Christians. We turned to prayer and had a short time of seeking God together before a quiet worship time. A number of people requested personal ministry at the end of the meeting and were met deeply by God. One young man came through into the fullness of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit during the meeting which he was delighted with. Another woman who received ministry experienced the love of God coming to her in a way she had not previously experienced. We are thankful to God for His continued moving in our meetings and are looking forward to the days ahead.

John led some singing and also brought an encouraging word on 'endurance' this week at the Airdrie meeting. He spoke from Matthew 24:9 and gave good examples of lives from the Old and New Testament who, through endurance against many trials and tribulations, were able to finish the race. We are also called to endure to the end, and with our magnificent Warrior running the race with us, we are more than conquerors. He enables us to stay the course right to the end. We finished with some songs of praise to Him who is so worthy.
