Midweek outreach

by Struthers Cumbernauld

 Newmains.

It’s lovely to have a good number of people including some new folks at our Newmains meeting this week. We started with a time of singing led by Mark which led into a deep time of worship. Jim gave his testimony to salvation and baptism in the Spirit, clearly describing how, since meeting Christ, there has been a huge change in his life for the better. Pauline preached about the verse ‘seek and you will find’, linking the verse into a message of salvation and finding more of the depths of God. There was a beautiful deep presence of God which settled on us through the prayer time and two people responded to an appeal for prayer. It was a privilege and great joy to lead one to Jesus for the first time and know his sins washed away. Another man was baptised in the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues and was moved by his encountering of God in this way. We are very grateful to God for his continued moving and are looking forward to our outreach occasion next week for visitors to come and hear about the life changing power of the gospel.
