Thought for the week

Thought for the week from Diana:

"and Jesus tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well." John 4:6
It's not wrong to feel tired, to acknowledge it and to do something about it. It's not even wrong to occasionally let others carry on with the work whilst you rest. In this instance the disciples had gone shopping whilst Jesus rested at the well. Where we often go wrong is what we do whilst we are resting. What did Jesus do? Perhaps enjoy the scenery? Close His eyes for a while?
He shared his faith with another. He broke through the hostility between the Jews and Samaritans, the tradition between men and women. He brought Life to another which led to a whole village hearing the Gospel.
Although we may be tired from the journey, let us never be tired with the journey.
