Thought for the week by Pastor Diana Rutherford

'They all ate and were satisfied.' Matt 14:20

This verse comes at the end of the story of Jesus feeding the 5000.  It describes something that happened in the physical world but reflects on what Christ does for us spiritually.

After we have been with Him we should be well satisfied.  Does this describe your christian life?  There is abundant life in Christ and it is up to us to come to Him and partake of it.  Sometimes this seems hard,  it can be that our unbelief gets in the way, or we become too busy to spend time seeking God.  We need to be determined to lay these things aside and fight past every obstacle to come into His presence.

Matt 7:14  says 'Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life.'

If we really want to find LIFE, the energies and abundance of God, then we must pay the price.  We must go through the narrow gate and very quickly we will find that we are well satisfied!
