Thought for the week by Pastor Diana Rutherford

And when He had spoken unto me, I was strengthened. Daniel 10:19

We often fear what God would say to us. Adam feared God's voice and hid in the garden.  We don't tend to hide these days but we do avoid listening for His glorious wisdom and advice in case it is contrary to what we want to hear.

Daniel was strengthened when God spoke to Him. He felt better, more able for the task committed into his care.

We would feel better too if we took time to listen to what He would say to us. He would give to us the courage, strength and wisdom we need for every day challenges.

What a beautiful relationship Daniel had with God. He depended on the words of his God for strength. There is a sense of the intimacy of God's Presence through this verse. How precious were the words of God in a very trying situation.

Seek to find that same intimate relationship with Him. Seek to hear His words and learn to lean on them for your daily strength.
